Jacqueline 'Jackie' Giagliardo, 92, Of Lodi

LODI, N.J. -- Jacqueline "Jackie" Giagliardo, of Lodi, died Nov. 29. She was 92.

Born in Binghamton, N.Y., she lived there for seven years before moving to Little Italy in New York City for 15 years, living on Mott Street. 

When she married her husband Joseph, she moved to Garfield and raised her family for 47 years there before settling in Lodi 23 years ago. 

Her career as a hairdresser spanned 80 years starting at 11 and retiring last year at 91. She worked at Hair’s Anthony in Garfield and also at the Garfield Senior Center cutting the hair of all her friends. She was the past president of the Garfield Golden Agers, was the Sunshine Lady for the Garfield AARP and was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church in Garfield. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; band rother, Frank Gruppuso. 

She is survived by her children, Joanne Guzzo and husband Albert, Agatha Healy and Paula Kwak; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jennifer, Scott, Michael (Jen) and Alex: and great-grandchildren, Natasha, Lio, Nicholas, Johnny and Mikey. 

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave, Garfield followed by a noon Mass at St. Francis de Sales Church, 125 Union St., Lodi. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi.
